Women's Body Physiology and Anatomy

Ovaries:-

The female gamete and hormones are created in a female's ovaries. On either side of the lower abdomen, they are. The stroma of the ovaries is covered by a thin epithelium that separates the ovary's outer cortex from its inner medulla.

Uterus:-

Womb is another name for the uterus. Muscles of the female reproductive system have an inverted pear form. An inner layer of endometrium, a thick middle layer (myometrium), and a thin outer layer make up the uterus (perimetrium). Ligaments connected to the pelvic wall allow a small cervix to open into a vagina. The birth canal is made up of the vagina and the cervical canal together. A muscular tube that emerges from the bottom of the uterus is the vagina.

Fallopian Tubes:-

Fallopian tubes are muscular tubes that are situated between the margin of the ovaries and the right and left upper corners of the uterus. Little projections called fimbriae swoop over the ovaries to collect released eggs and transport them to the infundibulum where they are supplied to the uterus. Every fallopian tube's cilia carry an ovum to the uterus.

Vagina:-

The vagina is the tube that connects the cervix to the outer world. It supports the penis and transports sperm to the uterus and fallopian tubes during sexual activity. Moreover, it enlarges during labour to facilitate the delivery of the foetus.
